Break Out the Boots

Ok Ladies if you're a shoe lover, like myself, then it's time to bring out the boots and the winter coats. Me personally, I'll be rocking my boots from last winter as well as new ones from this season. My favorite stores for boots are Nordstroms, Macy's, Nine West Outlet (the one in Springfield, CT) and few other secret spots in LA and NY...I'll tell eventually. These are a few styles that I make look good...check some out at nordstroms.com and see what compliments your style...

If you're like me, you know how to wear boots with just about anything and everything while keeping it classy, sexy and Divalous...if you haven't done so by now, it's about that time to step your Boot game up...remember to watch out for the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas sales to cop all your favorite pairs for less...Happy Boot Shopping!!!

Premiere of Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is

For those of you that are fans of the singer and/or fans of the reality show, the third season premiered tonight. Keyshia came back this season with darker hair, a different smile...we liked the gap Keysh...a funky Black Ferrari...get it gurl...and more family in the A. Like every family, there's going to be drama, drama and more drama. So hopefully all the faithful viewers will be tuned in every Tuesday night on BET at 10pm, like me, and the new ones will do the same.

Without Struggle, There Is No Progress...

I never thought I would see this day, I never thought I would have so much faith in my country and I never thought so many Blacks, Whites, Latinos, Asians would come together to get the truth in office. Up until moments before they announced he won, I was having my doubts. I was having so many mixed emotions but most of all I was trying to remain as positive as I was this morning. This has been a long journey for our ancestors, our grandparents, our parents, us and of course President Obama. Let's all celebrate and rejoice because "Victory is Ours...Yes We Can"

Election Day 2008

The moment we've been anticipating has finally arrived. I stood in line at the polls with my mother and my brother, waiting for 7am to finally come. As I punched the circles on my ballot, I had a tingly sensation running thru my whole body. For the first time since this election began, I felt hope and possibility...maybe justice will prevail this time around. As I looked at the many faces standing with their children, friends and spouses I felt a sense of pride...this was history in the making. I felt my grandmother, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, JFK, Tupac looking down on me smiling. I know they didn't expect to see a Black Presidential Canidate in their time...hell I didn't expect to see one in my time and here we are. It was because of their blood, sweat and tears that made this day possible.
As I wait for my cousin to get off work early to vote, I'm continuing to keep my newfound faith in a system that has done us wrong so many times and my faith in God because he is the truth and light. Don't be disenfranchised...VOTE!!!!
